INSECURITY REGARDING BIRTH CHOICES

What is it?
Thinking or feeling that you do not have what you need to survive or accomplish your goals.

What’s the problem?

Subtle or not so subtle messages from society, family, media, and even this prenatal guide, can undermine the ability to trust yourself in health, pregnancy, birth and motherhood processes. Being connected and tuned into yourself and your needs is an important part of self-care. A lack of trust can prevent you from being able to tune in.

What can be done?

Learn how to utilize information wisely. Be responsive to your conscience! If your conscience is telling you something, listen to it. When we don't listen to our our conscience it can turn into guilt. Guilt can then fill us with more insecurity. Accept your fears! We may not be able to make fear go away but we don't need to let it paralyze us. Know that you will be able to handle whatever comes your way. We, your midwives, are here to help.
