Midwife in Training! Now, Arizona Midwife Danielle Haines of Midwives Rising!

Our intention is for students to leave our practice functioning at the level of an experienced midwife. As such, our program is comprehensive, stringent and requires a very high level of dedication and commitment.

Being a midwife's apprentice is a full time job with lots of overtime. The pay may be bad and the hours may be even worse but the opportunities and experiences are invaluable.

Apprentices are offered a valuable education, valued at $35,000 - $50,000. We not only offer the clinical and practical aspects of midwifery but also extend the opportunity to belong to our lineage midwives.

These are no small things. A lot is required of preceptors, especially if students expect to receive a beneficial and full rounded experience. We therefore expect work efforts in exchange for this valuable experience.

Our midwifery practice focuses on home birth and birth center birth. The midwives are all licensed Arizona Midwives, Certified Professional Midwifes, have meet, or are meeting, the International Standards of Midwifery via the North American Registry of Midwives Bridge certification and have or are in process of meeting the Arizona Advance Practice Midwife certification.

We provide students with the opportunities they need to meet the Midwives Alliance of North America Core Competencies.™

We provide complete midwifery care based on The Midwife Model of Care™

We work with many alternative health modalities, including herbs, homeopathy, oils, sound, chiropractic care, Body Talk Therapy, positive touch and provide a wide variety of educational experiences and much more.

Students will have the opportunity to learn and master absolutely every facet of midwifery.

Let that last sentence sink in.

Are you available to dedicate up to 60 hours a week to your midwifery apprenticeship? *
Do you have reliable transportation? *

Do you have healthcare experience? *
Do you have training or experience in childbirth education, doula care, breastfeeding support or other pregnancy/birth area? *
Are you presently enrolled in a midwifery program? *

If that seems like a lot, consider that many midwives leave midwifery school (after paying tens of thousands of dollars) and apprenticeships barely prepared to meet the responsibilities of an independent midwife.

We do not find that to be acceptable. You will leave our care 100% prepared to function as a responsible midwife.
